Peer Review Process
Each text received will go through a is a double blind peer review serial journal by the reviewer in charge. The decision of the manuscript will be known by the author a maximum of 4 weeks after the text was received by the editor
Publication Frequency
Health and Medical Journal is published twice a year (January and July). Each issue number (issue) is a minimum of 5 (five) article titles

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
Archiving
This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...

We are proudly to announce that Health and Medical Journal is currently ranked SINTA 3 (Science and Technology Index) since Volume 3 Nomor 1 Tahun 2021 by KEMENRISTEK DIKTI, Indonesia (Surat Keputusan Direktur Jenderal Penguatan Riset dan Pengembangan Kementerian Riset, Teknologi, dan Pendidikan Tinggi Nomor : B/1796/E5.2/KI.02.00/2020, dated 30 Desember 2020). This rank is based on the assessment from Indonesian Ministry of Science and Technology 2019
The Ethics Publication
Health and Medical Journal refers to the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) in matters relating to the ethics of publications, in particular, the Protocol of Research and publication errors. Heme adopted COPE in order to follow the high ethical standards aimed at editors, writers, and Bestari partners. Publishers are not entitled to interfere with the integrity of the content and are solely responsible for periodic and timely publication.
For Editors
- the Editor having responsibility for each manuscript/manuscript published in the Health and Medical Journal
- The Editor must ensure that each author follows the rules of writing in the Health and Medical Journal.
- The editors can communicate final decisions with the Journal Manager, other editors, and Bestari partners.
- The editors in providing the evaluation of the manuscript should be conducted objectively without looking at the aspects of nationality, ethnicity, political affiliation, ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, seniority, or institutional affiliation of the author.
- Editors must reject assignments when the editors ' interest may conflict
- Editors should ensure that the manuscript sent to the Bestari partner does not contain information about the author, and vice versa.
- The editors ' decision must be submitted to the author with the Bestari response of the partner, except for personal or defamatory responses.
- The Editor must appreciate the request from the author who rejects the individual to evaluate his manuscript as long as the reason is acceptable.
- If the Editor finds or suspects an act of infringement. Authors, editors can follow the guidelines in the COPE flowchart in resolving the influence conflict.
- The editors and staff must ensure the confidentiality of all the manuscripts submitted.
For Partner Bestari
- Bestari asked to provide a possible commentary in the research manuscript if suspected of finding fault with the Writing Ordinance, Publication Ethics and the publication
- the Bestari partner is expected to complete the work At the specified time and gives the Editor information when unable to fulfill the specified period.
- Partner Bestari must be confident of the author's manuscript.
- The partner Bestari may not accept any manuscript for assessment if it is potentially a conflict of interest or a competitive, collaborative, or other relationship with any author, company or institution.
- The partner Bestari must ask Editor for consideration/attention to the similarity of substance or overlap between the manuscript being considered and other publication papers that have other authors in common.
- Particular information or ideas obtained through peer review must be kept confidential and not used for personal benefit.
For Authors
- The authors should be able to assure that the manuscript/manuscript has never been published before and has never transferred rights to the article to another party.
- The authors ensure that the authenticity of the manuscript of his work and follow the quoting rules that correspond to the appropriate reference format.
- Authors should not be involved in plagiarism or Oto-plagiarism.
- The author must follow the rules of writing the Health and Medical Journal that the author has not sent the manuscript/manuscript simultaneously with the same topic and title to another journal.
- The author should be able to provide information and to make details of the related research data if the editors find that there is a suspected counterfeit or plagiarism in the manuscript.
- If a writer finds errors or inaccuracies that affect the manuscript/script that has been submitted, then the author must immediately notify the Editor or Journal Manager to withdraw the text and improve the manuscript/manuscript immediately.
- Authors are not allowed to draw articles that are being reviewed by Reviewer before being returned by Reviewer to editorial.

Plagiarism Policy
Whether intentional or not, plagiarism is a serious violation. Plagiarism is the copying of ideas, text, data and other creative work (e.g. tables, figures and graphs) and presenting it as original research without proper citation.
We define plagiarism as a case in which a paper reproduces another work with at least 25% similarity and without citation. If evidence of plagiarism is found before/after acceptance or after publication of the paper, the author will be offered a chance for rebuttal. If the arguments are not found to be satisfactory, the manuscript will be retracted and the author sanctioned from publishing papers for a period to be determined by the responsible Editor(s).
Article Processing Charge
Submission Fee
HEME levies an article submission fee of Rp. 400.061,- for each article submitted for publication. This commitment fee for reviewing and handling the manuscript should be paid at the time the author submits it, to BNI Bank Account No. 0691064320 on behalf of Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Baiturrahmah. The last two digits are the payment code. Please make payment according to code
Publication Fee
HEME collects an article publication fee of Rp. 600,061, - for each article accepted for publication. A publication fee bill will be generated by our administration team, as a prerequisite for the editing process. This publication fee is paid to BNI Bank Account No. 0691064320 on behalf of Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Baiturrahmah. The last two digits are the payment code.

HEME provides a waiver of publication fees if the first author of the article is a lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine, Universitas Baiturrahmah

Peer Review Policy
HEME employs reviewing policies. The submission and peer review of every article must be managed using this system and based on following Peer Review Policy.
1. HEME Editorial Board is responsible for the selection of papers and the selection of reviewers.
2. Articles must typically be reviewed by double reviewers.
3. Reviewers are unaware of the identity of the authors, and authors are also unaware of the identity of reviewer ( blind review)
4. Reviewing process will always consider novelty, originality, objectivity, method, scientific impact, conclusion, and references.
5. The final decision of manuscript acceptance shall be made by the Editorial Board according to reviewers critical comments.
6. Section Editor will send the final decision regarding the submission to the corresponding author based on the reviewer’s recommendation.
7. HEME Editorial Board shall protect the confidentiality of all material submitted to the journal and all communications with reviewers.

Authors retain copyright and grant the Faculty of Medicine Universitas Baiturrahmah rights to publish the work licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-Non Commercial License (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0) that allows others to remix, adapt, build upon the work non-commercially with an acknowledgment of the works authorship and initial publication in Health and Medical Journal. Authors are permitted to copy and redistribute the journals published version of the work non-commercially (e.g., post it to an institutional repository or publish it in a book), with an acknowledgment of its initial publication in Health and Medical Journal.
