Abstract

Radiografi sefalometri adalah radiografi standar yang digunakan untuk radiografi tulang tengkorak dimana sefalometri digunakan secara ekstensif dalam ortodonti untuk menilai hubungan gigi dan rahang pada tulang wajah, analisa konveksitas wajah bisa dilihat dengan menggunakan rontgen foto sefalometri. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui analisa gambaran rontgen foto sefalometri lateral terhadap konveksitas wajah pada pasien ortodonti anak di RSGM dan FKG Universitas Baiturrahmah. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif. Populasi pada penelitian ini rekam medik pasien yang sedang melakukan perawatan orthodonti di RSGM Baiturrahmah pada tahun 2014-2016 dengan 50 pasien. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh profil wajah laki-laki sebelum perawatan ortodonti lebih banyak dengan profil wajah datar yaitu 16 orang (61,5%) dan sesudah perawatan ortodonti profil wajah menjadi lebih banyak pada datar yaitu 21 orang (80,8%) dan Profil wajah perempuan sebelum perawatan ortodonti lebih banyak dengan profil wajah datar yaitu 17 orang (58,6%) dan sesudah .perawatan ortodonti profil wajah menjadi lebih banyak pada datar yaitu 18 orang (62,1%).
