OPTIMALISASI UPAYA KESEHATAN MASYARAKAT (UKM) BERBASIS KOMUNITAS DI MAJELIS TAKLIM KOTO TANGAH

Abstrak

Dental and oral health education activities at the Al-Manar Taklim Assembly, Koto Tangah District, Padang City, aim to increase the understanding and awareness of the elderly regarding the importance of dental health care. Involving 40 participants, this activity includes interactive education about the risks of oral cavity diseases, correct tooth brushing techniques, and guidance on choosing healthy foods. The results of the activity showed an increase in knowledge and positive behavioral changes among participants, as reflected by high enthusiasm during the question and answer session. The high DMF-T index indicates the need for more attention to the dental health of the elderly. The sustainability of the program is planned through regular education and provision of educational media, aiming to build a culture of clean and healthy living in the community.
